Synopsis: A celebration of Place Ð a celebration of Unity Aboard ForsterÕs Amaroo, Poppa and Pearl journey in search of the migrating humpback whales. Through encounter and reminiscence, they find more than they imagined Ð a deep connection to the natural world; a shared belonging to the place of beautiful waters. É On a crystal day when the waters are calm and the sky is opal-blue clear, the Amaroo glides fast and free skimming surface to the deep to the dark dancing sea. Into the mystery of the journey to the treasure lost and found, hidden seagrass symphony from lake to ocean bound. ÒWeÕre cruising!Ó spirit stirring, Pearl and Poppa, sun and breeze. WeÕll find the whales beyond the break-walls Beyond the Wallis Lake of dreams where the story has its beginning as the gatherings arrive, such a tidal flow of memory where the sunset colours lie. ÒOh Pearl, Wallis Lake of dreams my childhood fishing playground.Ó Family lines, holiday times held in mirrored streams. ÒLook Poppa, LakeÕs far away enfolded in golden light. Can you see the dolphins and the sea-grass and the wide, white pelicans in flight?Ó Above the islands and oyster leases and sandy spots to moor the pelicans and the sea eagles dive and swirl and soar. The Worimi waters glisten, lap at boatshed walls, whisper ancient stories, gently rise and fall. Lake Wallis will wait in wonder for the AmarooÕs returnÉ ÒNow letÕs look seaward Pearly to the whales, the whales we yearn.Ó Captain Matt knows the way across the waters wide to the currents of humpback rhythm, to the drumming he feels inside. But all is quiet on the surface, the crew with binoculars scan, Captain Matt is puzzled, this was not his plan. Not a soul on board could find them, not a whale in sight all round yet he could hear the whalesÕ chorus, he could feel the resonant sound and Poppa and Pearl has promised that ForsterÕs whales would be found. ÒCome further out, follow me,Ó the sea eagleÕs secret call. ÒI see them from the heaven from the feather as it falls like rain their watery highways like love their echoing song I trace their course with keen eye my whole life long.Ó TheyÕre northbound now, migrating, for the birthing of their young Into the warmest waters youÕll ever feel for their blessings from the sun. ÒSo follow me, Captain Matt to the distant sounds, youÕll see the ribbons of their swimming toward their sacred breeding grounds.Ó For centuriesÉ and centuriesÉ their sanctuaryÉ É ÒAh! Faraway pod off the starboard bow, North-East 1 oÕclock LOOK NOW!Ó Diving low surging up A silver dancing to the sky, A distant splash of splendour, A song for every eye. ÒOh Poppa, Bird has found them, Bird has led us ocean wide and Captain Matt will steer us take us gently to their side.Ó With thanks for wise Sea Eagle For flight and whispered call, we will fill our hearts and sing now, we will feel the feather fall. Heart fills song falls engine starts eagle soars BUT THENÉ ÒI have found YOU Poppa I have found YOU Pearl Here in this ONE moment Here in this ONE world.Ó We are the Ocean We are the Sky We are the ancient land of the Worimi We are the Whale We are the Moon We are the Dance of the Amaroo.
